My Background
My background is in painting. During the early 1990s I was one of the artists who started the original Thornton Road Studios, a collective of multi-disciplined artists with adjoining studios in South Austin's Thornton Road Business Park. For a decade I ran a successful high end craft business from my studio there.
Eventually a love of gardening turned my artful eye to the business of landscape design.
My Medium
While landscape design still makes up the majority of my day, its influences took me down an artistic path in a new (to me) medium of linocut prints, with subject matter influenced by many of the plants I use in landscape design.
I've recently branched out to prints of the historical homes and buildings in my neighborhood, and look forward to finding inspiration every day in the world around me.
